Kirtan Jam Circle

Sunday, Feb 8th · 3:00 PM

Westminster Unitarian Church

119 Kenyon Ave, East Greenwich, RI

We will meet in Smith Hall, immediately following the 6:00 Drum Circle.

You are warmly invited to this welcoming, judgment-free gathering for anyone called to explore devotional sound together—through voice, rhythm, or instrument.

We’ll begin with gentle guidance, sharing a simple chant (from the yoga tradition) exploring basic rhythm, melody, and chord structure. From there, the space opens to jamming, listening, and co-creating together with instruments and voices.

This is not a performance and not about getting it right. It’s an experiential space rooted in curiosity, connection, and shared resonance. All levels of ability are welcome to come and explore with us.

Bring an instrument (or 2)—or simply your voice and presence.

Led by Greg Sabatino and Rev. Shelley Dungan and open to all.

Drop ins are most welcomed also.

Kirtan Sādhana Gathering
Saturday, February 14th, 2026
6:00-7:30 PM

A universal spiritual practice of chant, poetry, silence, and reflection
Westminster Unitarian Church, East Greenwich, RI
Led by Rev. Shelley Dungan & Greg Sabatino

You are warmly invited into a peaceful, contemplative and uplifting gathering designed to quiet the mind and open the heart. Kirtan Sādhana blends simple chanting, sacred poetry, and moments of shared silence to create a spacious environment for inner reflection, connection, renewal and refreshment.

“Kirtan” refers to the gentle practice of call-and-response singing, and “Sādhana” means a spiritual practice that helps us return to presence. Together, these elements invite us into an inspiring collective experience.

This will be a warm-hearted evening filled with soulful sing-along chants and melodies. Let's bring our voices together to create a harmonious and inclusive atmosphere as we connect through the power of music and community. Don't miss this opportunity to free your spirit and find peace within.
No experience with chanting or meditation is needed—participate in whatever way feels comfortable: listen, hum, sing, or simply rest in the shared field of sound.

All are welcome to this free event.
